Today is the tercentenary of the birth of England’s greatest gardener, Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown in 1716. It is estimated that Brown was responsible for over 170 gardens surrounding the finest country houses and estates in Britain, often perfecting what nature had already started, such that it can often be difficult to distinguish natural landscape from a Capability Brown confection such as this scene of bucolic perfection at Chatsworth in Derbyshire. http://ift.tt/2bQ8cxv

Molly’s had a funny turn this morning. Top picture, in the car rushing to Seadown Animal Hospital; bottom picture, feeling considerably more alive on way home. Vestibular Syndrome was diagnosed, affecting her balance and vision. Medication prescribed, good chance of a full recovery within a week. Fingers crossed, and much relief all round!
