Have you given your birch trees their Autumn wash and brush up yet? They’ll really light up your garden on dismal winter days with an arresting visual flash of brightness, especially if they there is a dark or evergreen backdrop acting as a foil. The job is easily done with a bucket of warm, mildly soapy water and a stiff bristle dustpan brush. This task is best done in the Autumn rather than Spring. In my photo the image at left is the ‘before’ shot with green algae much in evidence. The others are the ‘after’ pictures. See how they zing! #trees #birch #himalayanbirch #gardeningtips #NewForest
